Savannah - Feb 26th Part 1

Let me tell you a little something about sharing a room... it's different than you think it will be... especially when said persons snore like there is no tomorrow... I mean loud enough to wake the freaking dead! Add to that the insomnia that you're already got in your bag of tricks and your left with watching the clock on the tv count the seconds, minutes and hours till morning....

7a... Time for a shower... heaven... after you get over how high the lip of the tub is...

8:00a... still an hour till our breakfast is going to be delivered room... being anti social people that we are (JK) we had breakfast sent up. You have to reserve a tray the night before and put in your order... I took the opportunity to read the binder in the room with all the deats... looking at the painting of the guy from back in the day who looked down at you with a disapproving look. (totally freaked me out... thank God you couldn't see his face in the dark)

9:00 The tray with the food arrived... I ordered a Goat Cheese Omelet which was absoluteness delicious! But alas instead of the tea we thought we requested... it was coffee... for those of you who know me I'm not a coffee drinker... so I was a little disappointed to be honest... but the omelet made up for it I think...

10:00a We left for the Mansion at Forsyth Park in the freezing cold, raining weather that seemed to have descended on Savannah the moment we rolled in... It had been in the upper 70's and sunny just days before...

We stopped at the cafe first... momma (and I mean me) needed some apple juice before going into the Grand Bohemian Gallery... The shop was the most impressive part with paintings, sketches, jewelry, statues and other works of art....

I just love this painting don't you?

After a few more 'happy snaps" it was time to move on... and check out 700 Drayton next door... ( a bit to pretentious... but I got some pictures anyway...)
